Leaders Lunch: Trust at Work

Why does trust matter at work? How can you build high-trust organizations? And how to integrate trust into your HR practices?

In recent years there has been an explosion of interest in the concepts of autonomy and self-management at work. The result is a fundamental shift in the relationship between employer and employee.

A common principle in the evolution towards more autonomy and self-management is that they start with trust. Trust is the basis of any relationship. Evidence shows that trust is related with a range of benefits in the workplace, such as job performance. It takes effort and know-how to build trust, but it's likely rewarding.

A world renowned academic innovator will go into dialogue with us about the subject. Practical insights will be given by a progressive HR leader.

We will gather in an informal setting for an exclusive lunch. The number of participants is strictly limited, as we aim to maximize the level of interaction.

Keynote speakers:

Denise Rousseau (US), Carnegie Mellon University

Denise Rousseau is professor of Organizational Behavior and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College and the Tepper School of Business. She was the President of the Academy of Management and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Organizational Behavior. Rousseau's work in the field centers upon evidence-based management and workers' impact: HR strategies, changing the psychological contract and the effects of organizational culture on performance.

David Ducheyne (BE), Securex

As Chief People Officer of Securex, David Ducheyne is responsible for both the people and the customer experience in his organization. He is also the president of hrpro.be, the Belgian association of HR Professionals. Finally, he is a keynote speaker, author and blogger. His areas of interest are value-driven people strategy, sustainable leadership, the future of work and organization design. He shares his insights on his blog site hrchitects.net.

Facilitation:
